Industrial Mission and Corporate Responsibility

The theme of this collection of documents is an exploration of various aspects of the work by Christian faith communities to explore the implications of Corporate Social Responsibility in industry and commerce and in the churches themselves. There are four separate documents in the collection.

It is suggested that the place to begin is with the document called T Is For Tin which seeks to provide a general introduction to the themes of the subject based around the Cornish Tin Mining industry.

This is followed by a personal description of the process of the establishment of the churches' work in studying Corporate Responsibility and the development of the Ecumenical Council for Corporate Responsibility (ECCR). This document is called Building a Network.

Thirdly, there is a document called The History of the Bench Marks which tracks the process within ECCR by which principles of Corporate Responsibility which the churches wanted to adhere to were developed.

Finally, the largest document which is an academic Thesis for a PhD written by the Revd Dr Crispin White entitled: Theological perspectives on the evolution of corporate performance and practice.
